Today I launched my site. I reached out to friends and colleagues to share my excitement. It's another step on this journey as I try to navigate unfamiliar territory.

Some of it I know. Much of it, I don’t. It feels a bit like being an explorer. What you know helps you get started, but it’s what you don’t know that requires mindfulness, adaptability, and curiosity.

I’m grateful for the many who have charted this path before me, and for the resources that now help me find my footing.

It’s exciting, too, because I’ve always loved learning. I love experimenting, testing things, sometimes breaking them and learning from the pieces. I don’t plan to break anything on this journey, but I’m not afraid of missteps. Every stumble is a chance to stand up again. Every obstacle, an opportunity. The metaphors could go on, but you get the point.

If you’re building a dream or stepping into the unknown, have a plan. Know there’s help. Be willing to ask for it. And more than anything, take one step at a time.

That’s what I intend to do.
