Danbury Author A.H. Lewis Launches The Chronicles of Durajan, a Bold New Epic for Fantasy Readers

Danbury, CT — October 1, 2025 — Author A.H. Lewis makes his debut in the world of fantasy literature with The Chronicles of Durajan, an ambitious, emotionally resonant epic that weaves memory, myth, identity, and survival into a multi-voiced narrative of endurance and rebirth.

The Chronicles of Durajan™ is the first book of a planned series, a sweeping story of resilience, remembrance, and the struggle to rebuild something sacred from the remnants of a fractured world.

In the canyons of the Durajan, Dothemides—a scarred veteran of war and servitude—and Samike, a sharp-minded woman determined to reshape her fate, forge an unlikely partnership. From their bond, a settlement is born: Dothemia. As it grows, the Durajani must face ancient mysteries, hostile tribes, and the rising threat of the Nakarran Creed, a force bent on returning the world to stillness and silence.

Told through journals and memories spanning seventeen years, the chronicles become a tapestry of voices—of hardship, resilience, love, faith, and myth—where survival becomes community, and remembrance itself becomes an act of defiance.

A Love Letter to Fantasy—and to Creative Freedom
Lewis, a lifelong storyteller, illustrator, and creative director, describes The Chronicles of Durajan as “the most ambitious and personal creative project of my life.”

“This is the first time I’ve allowed myself to fully go all-in on one complete creative vision,” he says. “No client. No brief. No prompt. Just the compulsion to build something enduring.”

From branding and world-building to book design, maps, narration, and website, Lewis built every element of the project himself, drawing from decades of experience in storytelling, visual design, and immersive strategy.

“What I’m building with Durajan and The Awakened World is more than a novel. It’s the emotional truth of my life’s experiences and deepest questions, combined with everything I’ve spent years learning. It’s a world I feel is worth getting lost in and that it poses questions worth exploring.”

About the Author
A.H. Lewis is a lifelong storyteller drawn to questions of memory, faith, and what endures when all else is stripped away. The Chronicles of Durajan is both a love letter to the tales that shaped him and a meditation on quiet strength, resilience, and the power of reclaiming identity.

He lives in Connecticut with his wife, Anne, who is his closest collaborator and fiercest supporter. When not writing, he can be found sitting by the lake, tending the garden, building steampunk sculptures, or watching for wildlife in the woods beyond his home.
